Federal authorities have indicted 11 men on drug trafficking charges, saying they were part of a scheme to transport a large quantity of marijuana from Texas to a Midwestern city.
A drug bust in West Texas resulted in police allegedly confiscating nearly 1,000 pounds of marijuana and charging three people with drug possession.
Three Texas women are among a group of people who have been indicted for alleged drug trafficking. The three women are accused of taking part in a ring that spread cocaine throughout the United States via chartered planes. According to federal authorities, the alleged conspirators shipped their merchandise on nearly 20 flights from August 2009 through March of this year.

A Texas man traveling east along Interstate 20 was arrested traveling with more than $1 million worth of crystal methamphetamine, authorities said. He was taken into custody in a nearby state by a sheriff's department where officials said that this likely was the agency's largest crystal meth arrest ever.
